Today's devotion : Matthew 9:20-22

"Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment." ( Matthew 9:22 )

This morning, before I could start doing my devotion time, I received a call from mummy, which stirred up something God wants to speak to me, as I believe.

She shared with me about Kuching Grandpa's sickness, that as 3 doctors have checked and all concluded that it is confirmed that he has lung cancer, unless miracle happens, he will have only another 2 to 3 months left.

At that very moment, I just could hear God as if He was saying: "That's why, you all just pray but always think that I can't do anything about it but just to receive your prayers. Since no one actually bothers if I really answer the prayers or not, why, then, should I answer these prayers that are halfheartedly prayed and sought? "

I felt heartbroken when this thought came to my mind. Thinking about us having prayer meeting every night together, are we really praying for the sake of praying? Or do we really know that we have the authority to intercede for those in need through Jesus Christ's name? To be honest, I just felt so ashamed at that point.

I recalled what Michelle - a sister in Christ - shared with me few days ago. I got to realize that sickness or all sorts of troubles are not given to us by God, but by Satan the devil. God wants us to make full use of the authority we have over devil through Jesus' name, to cast out all this evil spirits. It is not impossible for us, because we have the power of the Holy Spirit. All we need is faith (Matthew 21:21-22).

Now quiet down yourself, try to reevaluate your faith in God. If you think God has something to speak to you through today's devotion, take action steps as to respond to God's calling. Do not delay God's calling because you never know how much more lifetime do you have..

God bless..
